Drip Coffee “Starter Recipe”
Ratio: 1:16 (coffee:water)
Grind: Medium
Water: Filtered, fresh
Tip: Remove carafe promptly when done
Recommended roast: Medium to medium-dark for sweetness and consistency.
The Recipe
Use 1:16 as your default. Adjust strength with ratio; adjust taste with grind size.
| Water | Coffee (1:16) | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| 350g | 22g | 1 large mug |
| 500g | 31g | 2 mugs |
| 1000g | 63g | A full carafe |
Two Easy Adjustments
- Strength (ratio): 1:15 stronger / 1:17 lighter
- Flavor (grind): coarser for bitterness, finer for sourness
